Who is N-Centive

CBV-Media is a registered company in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.

What exactly does N-Centive do?

N-Centive helps companies (our clients) to conduct loyalty programs and related services. We act as a service provider and data processor.

Our technology platform allows our clients to empower their own customers to earn rewards and credits through previously defined interactions with their brand.

Glossary

This policy uses the following keywords:

customer A customer is a company for which N-Centive operates a loyalty program. As part of this task, we process data, ie we act as data processors for our customers. For you as a participant in these programs, a reference for a customer refers to the brand or company whose loyalty program you are participating in.
data controller The data controller is the person who determines the purposes and the way in which personal data is processed.

What data about me do you store?

We can store the following personal information about you:

  • Your email address
  • Your first and last name
  • the order details of goods / services purchased from the customer
  • Details of your visits to Loyalty Programs in which you participate and
  • a record of the correspondence between you and us.

Like most websites, we automatically collect information about your computer such as IP address, browser type, referral / exit pages, and operating system. When you visit the websites we host, we also use cookies to identify you on your next visit. If you are a participant in multiple loyalty programs from different customers, we will store the above data for each program in which you participate. Your data is stored separately for each program and never shared with other customers.

Where do you get this data from?

The above data:

  • have either been collected by our customers, the Data Controller, and forwarded to us in accordance with their Privacy Policy, so that we can operate their Loyalty Program for them.
  • In addition, we may also receive your e-mail address and first and last name directly from you if you have entered this information into one of our registration pages for participants.
What do you do with my data?

We need the above data for the following purposes:

  • to recognize you as a Participant and to give you rewards that you have earned according to the policies of a customer loyalty program.
  • to send you only service-emails related to the Loyalty Program - for example, to enable you to share offers with your friends, to inform you when your friends access a listing, and to send you reward-confirmations bye-mail, if you qualify. You can deactivate the receipt of these emails at any time. To do so, click on the unsubscribe link found in the footer of our emails.
  • to confirm that friends who have been recommended via the referral feature of a loyalty program are not already customers of our respective customers, and thus have the appropriate rewards
  • to investigate activities that are likely to violate the terms and conditions of a loyalty program or that may be a fraud attempt.
  • to respond to inquiries to our customer service.

We store and process the above data as a data processor on behalf of our customer, who is the data controller. This means that we treat your data as strictly confidential and use it only in accordance with the instructions of our customer.

How long do you keep my data?

In order to be able to participate permanently in the program, we generally store your data as long as the customer cooperates with us or according to the deadlines set by the customer in his instructions to us.

Some clients require specific (shorter) retention periods for specific data that we store from their customers. If you would like to know more about the retention periods applicable to the specific loyalty program you are participating in, please contact us.

With whom do you share my data?

Normally, we only share your information with our customer or confidentially with our carefully selected subcontractors who are directly involved in providing our services. Our subcontractors are only involved with our customer's consent and are primarily responsible for hosting our platform and sending service emails to subscribers.

We never transmit or sell your personal information to third parties for their own purposes.

In exceptional cases, we may disclose or transmit your personal information:

  • if required by law
  • if we (or our customer) believe, in good faith, that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your security, or the rights and safety of others (including N-Centive users), investigate fraud, or respond to an administrative request to react
  • to an outside buyer or seller if N-Centive is involved in a merger or acquisition, or part or all of N-Centive's assets are sold
  • to third parties, if you have agreed.
Where is my data stored?

The information we have about you is stored and processed primarily on the N-Centive platform. This platform is hosted in a secure data center in the European Economic Area (EEA). We may share your information with carefully selected subcontractors who are directly involved in the provision of our service.

If at any time the processing of your personal information needs to be transferred to a destination outside the EEA and / or the storage or access to your information in such destination, we will take all reasonable and necessary steps to ensure that your information be handled safely and in accordance with this Policy and protected under all applicable laws.

Do I have the right to object to the processing?

You can object to the processing of your personal data at any time. Contact our support or contact our customer (data controller). The procedure can be found in the privacy policy on their website. We will forward all received processing statements to the respective customer for review.

  • You have the right to request the deletion of the personal information we have stored by you and / or a limitation of the processing.
How can I exercise my rights?
